We do care and we all need to be in integrity if we claim to want our earth, air and water to be unpolluted---we have to put our money where our mouths are or, as a tax man said, where our hearts are. I am enjoying your page here!! :) Thanks Ocean Conservancy for responding. First, Ocean Conservancy does not have any partnerships with oil companies. Like many other conservation groups mentioned in the article, Ocean Conservancy does put some of our money into individual stocks and mutual funds that include energy companies. However, our board has already begun discussing this issue and is exploring screens and investment alternatives. This is an emerging issue and it is helpful to know that it is something our members and supporters care about, so thank you again for reaching out. What about Jeanne Pitts' comment above? Is this true? You need to respond to that... No, I don’t like sushi but I still want oceans that are clean so fish can be healthy. When Ocean Conservancy divests itself and becomes true to it's mission, then I will rejoin. Not a moment sooner.
